I whipped up some of these super fun luminaries! I used color changing LED candles and I LOVE them all!

Where do you buy vellum? Never seen or heard of it before.
Thanks for sharing. Love the idea and what you made.
I got mine at paperandmore.com. They have 100 sheets for $18.99 plus shipping and it comes in a lot of different colors. I made some of the Martha Stewart halloween table/hanging lanterns the last two years and I still have a lot of vellum left for more projects. I really like your lumanaries lmz319 as they seem easier and less time consuming to make, so I will definitely be making some of these this year!! Yes, the possibilities on these are endless. You can always do them for other holidays as well and just change your cutout images. :)

Another way if you are unable to find a cutout that you like is to find an image on the net, cut and past the image into MS Word, adjust the size to fit into the size lantern you're doing, then print the image right on the vellum. You can then tape it to the inside of the opening in your paper. That's what I had to do for the MS lanterns above.

Well, I finally did one of these but I printed the image directly onto the vellum. I plan to do a few more when I get time. Not as good as yours Imz319 but thanks so much for the inspiration!!! :)

Thanks! :) I didn't have any fake votives around to see what it looked like lit up or I would have taken a pic of that as well.
