Meltyface - Looks good so far, a black base coat and then the dry brush top coat and you're ready.
Berserker - If you have brick you can use brick clips and fishing line to hold them in place. I also place a piece of foam on the vertical sides and use a #8 finish nail to hold them. On my Hardy siding I use cup hooks to attach the fishing line, they also make clips for vinyl siding. You can hot glue the horizontal boards to the vertical ones for more support
