I bought an animatronic that I want to set in the corner of my yard but the sensors aren't triggering it very often. I bought a "Step Here" pad so I can just manually set it off but the cable is about 10 feet shorter than I need for that location. Is there a cable that I can attach to the "Step Here" male connector that will make the distance longer? Can I use an audio cable like Zeskit 6' Premium Audio Cable - 3.5mm, Braided Nylon Stereo Audio Cable (Male to Female)? If so is it a 3.5mm or a 3mm?

Thank you

First, apologies for stepping in on another's thread, but I gotta ask now.....is there anything wrong with using a stereo plug/cable?
A 3.5mm stereo jack has 3 segments and 3 conductor wires in the cable. A 3.5mm mono jack has 2 segments and 2 conductor wires. In this particular application either one would probably work as an extension but a mono jack would be the proper connector.

It's actually not hard to make your own step pads. I did it last year and they work great. They're are a few how to's on the internet. I kept the original "try me" button cords so now they're just really big "try me" buttons.
