Just wanted to post a recent project of mine. Not quite Halloween related but more of a costume prop for my wife at GenCon a month or so back. Sadly, she was a bit under the weather so didn't dress up. It went unused but is still proudly displayed in my den. Was a fun build and there will definitely be more of them in future builds!

Enjoy!

Thanks! It was my first attempt at the steampunk stuff but the wife loves it. I did have a load of fun putting the fiddly bits together and painting it up. Plus side, it's also still functional as a nerf gun :)

Rustie,

Thanks! Was a fun project. For the gauge on the side i just used some threaded washers that I got from the electrical section, offset them and glued down. I then found an image of a steam gauge online, shrunk it to size, and then cut a piece of clear plastic sandwiched between the washers. The coils are just different gauges of wire I wrapped around pencils before cutting to size.
