Spirit/Halloween City props integrated into gravestones

After Halloween I tend to go to Halloween city or Spirit to find clearance items that I can use to animate some of the gravestones. Also rather than rely on the motion or sound detector to set them off I take the demo button, sever it from the outlet, and extend the wiring to a homemade pressure pad that I put under a walkway.

This was an urn I found at Sprit for 20 bucks the day after Halloween so I got it and put it away until September of the next year where I made it into this grave. I went for a black marble look just to add some variety to my graveyard. It was a pain in the butt to get the white streaks they put across the front, in fact I took off the Black tent they had on it originally and had to reapply it with a fine mist of black spray paint but in the end you couldn't tell the difference .

This one was a odd Crystal Ball that I only found one of and was on sale for 10 bucks. The animation for it is a crummy red face but I couldn't pass it up and went for a mason tombstone with a rusted copper patina. It might be tough to see in the final picture but I cut some wood and matchsticks in half and push them in on the sides to look like rivets .

WOW! I love all of them and what a great mashup using those props as toppers on the stones... very creative (and you're definitely a talented carver/painter with all those epitaphs and foam carving and paint effects - A+++ work!)

All of those props have been available in other places (or at least they were back when first released). I know I picked up the urn about 2-3 years ago at Target in an after Halloween sale, and saw the Medusa head in Walgreens, so they aren't exclusive to Spirit or Halloween City (and might be cheaper elsewhere). But I think you still got them for a decent price since you picked them up in their after sales! :)
Flippin' Amazing. A true artist.
I love the marble look. It seem it was well worth the effort. I hope i am brave enough to attempt that one day.
I turned my Medusa head (Walgreen's) into a pedestal stone using the GR stone man and lady though I'm sure not many people got it. This is from 2013, got to love the rain. I really like the marbled one too. Looks awesome.

That's an awesome idea! In fact, since they overlapped one year, I assumed that's how the Stone Man and Woman became statues!
Josh, these look great. I am so stealing this idea from you for next year.
