I've had my current 400w fog machine for at least 10 years and this year I want to upgrade to a new one with a timer. I really don't need anything higher than a 400w and spirits is reasonably priced. Is there a hookup on their 400w fogger for a timer or not? Also, what's the best material to run fog from a machine up to a prop. I used piping insulation last year to connect it to my cauldron and found that the hot fog juice literally melted the foam.

Spirit's fog machines do have the ability to buy a separate timer, sold separately.

As far as moving fog to a prop, dryer hose works great and is completely heat resistant.

Good to know about the fogger, but for the tubing I need something a bit smaller. Something right around the size of 1.5 inch PVC would work, but obviously need it to be a bit more flexible.

The hose that most shop vacs use works well and most of it is already black.
