My latest tombstone creation. This one is a bit different for me as I have never done a "funny" epitaph stone before. I was thinking of selling it locally so I made it "family friendly". This stone is a bit over 2 feet tall and 18 inches wide.

No, all the raised work was done by routing out the negative area with a dremel.

Just the standard one that comes with the router. It actually didn't take as long as you'd think. I basically made this stone in one day from start to finish.

Thanks for saying that Doug! It's not as difficult as you'd think. It just takes a steady hand and a bit of practice.

Yeah, Terra's videos are a great resource. I watched those too when I was just starting out.

Use your dremel on a lower speed at least until you get used to it. When you're routing out areas, go in smaller clock-wise circles when clearing out the foam. Take your time. Don't set the depth TOO deep (usually 1/4- 1/2 inch is sufficient). Use a small piece of scarp foam to test first before you start working on your larger piece.
