I knew he would have dirty thoughts lol.Chris, why would anyone be surprised by your take of the title?![]()
There are tutorials on many of them and if you can't find one, just ask away. With some simple tools you can make a really nice monument.Iam but a mere peon compared to all of you. I sit in awe....I cant even figure out how some of you managed to make these. Back to the drawing board i go.
Outstanding job! I can only hope my first one looks nearly as niceJust finished this today. My first tombstone using foam. I used what I learned from Terra's how to videos when making them (thanks Terra!). While working, I realized that you can work the foam like wood. So, I used my Rasp, files and sandpaper for effects. For the large letters I used my Router.
In this picture, the display is not sitting properly, it is to lean at a slight angle.
I used my airbrush for weathering. Light colors first and slowly going darker. I could have went heavier, but then they would all look alike so I decided to "go lite" on this one.
I added some green color by the base to simulate the staining that occurs from grass cutting.
Of course I added moss for effect. The skull lights up, I'm not sure how well it will light up if I paint it Grey.
Pretty happy, learned a lot that I can apply to the next one. I must admit tombstone building is more fun than I first thought, think I might be hooked!
