Tonight a Grandmother, Mother ,and Granddaughter were here for the house tour.
After just two rooms the Daughter was upset, scared? Whatever? The Grandmother was too, it seemed ? The Mother seemed to really like the house and the tour.
The Grandmother and Granddaughter left after I changed the tour and showed them the backyard, then told them how the rest of the tour was routed through the house and yard.
The Mother was still enthused to be here. She went to the Wine Cellar with me and saw the exit runnel, went through it.
I told her about people seeing "Orbs" here.
Then she told me they had also seen"Orbs" when they toured the Stanley Hotel !
Then she said her scared daughter had no problem walking around there. at" The Stanley Hotel!"
.... so...is my house scarier than the Hotel Steven King based "The Shinning" on?
I put much effort into having them want to remain in my house, all for naught?
The Mother seemed to really appreciate my efforts and will probably be back sometime.
Two of their group were left at the other end of this town to kill time at the Dairy Queen. They were too afraid to even sit in the parking lot!
This all happened at 7pm,to 7:40pm it was still very light outside........all very strange.

This first post (above this one) illustrates the one, HUGE reason I seldom if ever, become "Bored" with running this house... you never know, when dealing with "people" exactly what may happen next.
The one, thrilling, yet often torturous device I operate here requires physical strength and attention to the details of using it correctly .
I sometimes will confess to people, how I discovered several years ago, that i must be a simpleton... because I realized... that I never get tired of seeing people being fearful or ever get tired of hearing their fearful reactions as I operate that device.
Many years ago as I was putting "Bodies" through this "Machine", I happened to notice that when it did it's Deed and the normal lighting would disappear, replaced by a room of red light, that everyone in the room were looking at me when this happened, and most of them looked very concerned and/or fearful!
So the next time the red light prevailed, I looked back at all these faces looking at me, I looked at all of them and said in a loud, crazy voice full of enthusiasm:"AND I DO THIS FOR A LIVING!"
(It does often require major muscle-groups (Just mine) all working together to operate it. It isn't just always a "Walk In The Park". )
A Chiropractor once was amazed at how my body can just keep running this device for those long October hours!? .. I just do.. it.

I know right?? I have told GW visiting his house is on my bucket list!! :) :)
Oh, Yah? I have been enjoying the top and almost only item on my "Bucket List" for many years now, having a "Haunted House" OPEN every night of the year.
Who kicks "The Bucket" first?
I am a child of the 1940s! (Yes "19", not "18",no matter what some might tell you! )
It just sometimes feels like I was born in the 1840s.
