Hi there! I'm doing research on the theme of the "dripping blood" theme. I've found references to Bals des Victims from Wikipedia that say that women during the French revolution wore red ribbons around their necks at the point of the guillotine blade impact. I have worn these ribbons on Bastille Day celebrations but have never seen a historical pic . Can anyone refer me to one? I've also seen the theme with Oscar Wilde's Salome, with John the Baptist's dripping blood head ( a great Halloween theme!).I've seen some current dripping blood necklaces for sale, but want to know if anyone has seen earlier versions, as I'm having a difficult time finding any. Thanks in advance for your anticipated answers or directions to help me fill in the gaps of my knowledge! Sincerely, Hercules::):)
