Aw, that is pretty sad. 
I'm so sorry you have to cancel your party, but maybe you could have a few friends over and do a mini party? Or even ask the ones that are texting you if they want to come over and help you set up, you might be able to still have it?
We're going ahead with our party despite the weather being predicted to be bad - possible thunderstorms. But there is no other time to really have it so it was either cancel (nooooooooo!) or go ahead and deal with the stormy situation, and we have made adjustments to the layout of what goes where. I think for whomever does show up, it should still be a fun time.
