Hi all! New member here so I apologize if this is in the wrong location....

I have a collection of 25-30 vintage blowmolds from the late 60s up through the mid-90s but I know next to nothing about them. I've heard of a few of the various companies that made these - Empire, Union, TPI, Drainage, etc... but only bits and pieces. I was just wondering if there was a really good resource out there that I could use to reference these and find out more about what I have?

Thanks so much in advance!

BTW...terrific looking forum....I'm looking forward to spending a bit of time here!

Best,
Brian

Hi and Welcome to the forum! :D

We do have several resident experts on blowmolds on here, but not sure if they'll be active this time of year. There is always a small core group that visits year round, but the place gets hopping around July with all the planning and building.

In any case, you can try using the search function to seek out blowmold threads from the past and hopefully some folks that have some knowledge will pop in here and help you out at some point.

GOMG is a resident blow mold collector around here.

General Foam is another maker, they're out of Virginia Beach, VA. They're still making some good ones. I just got a couple Easter ones (a demented looking Easter Bunny, a less evil looking one & a pair of bunnies dressed up) from Vermont Country Store with free shipping (that's usually the killer on those things).

Here's their catalog but sadly, they don't sell to the general public.

Thank you both for the responses and links! Haha, I don't have any Christmas blowmolds to turn into a wizard just yet....more or less just trying to figure out what it is that I have exactly since I don't know anything about them.

There's definitely quite a few collections I'm envious of already and I've only been on this forum a day or two so far :D

GOMG (which stands for Ghost of Mr. Gris) may not have been around lately but he knows his stuff. Bookmark those threads though, they're really useful & fun to just look at.
