I have watched several youtube videos on air cannons like the one called air cannons for dummies and the one posted by CycloneJack. However, no one ever mentions whether the portable tank has to be connected to an air compressor. Most videos use a 5 gallon portable tank. Is that sufficient to get you through the night, or does is need to be hooked up to a compressor?

I do not get thousands of people on Halloween, I would think that it would activate 200 times tops. I guess I am a bigger dummy than all of these online videos had anticipated. :D

Yes, it needs to be connected to a compressor. A single blast takes a lot of air, the 5 gal tank is the reservoir for the blast.

Is it worth the extra 10 bucks to get the 11 gal portable tank? I would assume the the 11 gal portable tank would mean less fill-ups during the night. And thank you J-Man for the being responsive to someone who is so friggin visual. I was like come on video people, I don't see an air supply. lol
