Not all tombstones in a graveyard are old and decrepit. I made this stone to go along with a new prop and storyline I am using for my yard haunt this year. I live on a street called Saintsbury and the houses in this area were all built n the 80's. I decided I would make the Saintsburys, an ill-fated couple who died on their wedding day on Nov 2nd, 1989 in a horrific car accident. I am going to have the couple incorporated into this scene but that will come later. Here are some pics of their dual headstone pre and post paint.

Haha! You noticed that, eh? :) Yeah, I did that on purpose. I am 3 years older than my hubby. Our anniversary is also Nov 2nd. I didn't think he'd like using our dates/ages on a tombstone so I went with these instead. Also, Nov 2nd has the added bonus of being the Day of the Dead! (Our anniversary is Nov 3rd).

Thank you Halloween Lady! I was kind of tired of the same old sort of stones myself. I still make the standard ones too of course but once in awhile it's good to do something different. I actually made another stone that I like even better than this one. I posted it in another thread but maybe I should re-post so people can see it again.

:) I dig the whole story line you have for this stone. The wedding dress is great, I love how it sort of has the "bustle" in the back...that reads as very old fashioned and dated...such a good idea! I cannot wait to see it completed. You have mad skills woman!:D
