Hello all,

I hope everyone enjoyed Halloween. I lurk around here a lot but we had a great Halloween this year and wanted to share.

We added some new things to Raven Manor this year too. Our animated grave slab is patterned after the Hallowed Haunting Grounds. There is also a simple/static Pepper's Ghost in our window that we named Dr. Pepper. I created a variation on the Axworthy with a candle, that I call the "Restless Candle"; using the FrightProps.com PicoVolt controller, it floats through the cemetery, pausing and reversing as it meanders about. And our most original addition was the "Weeping Widow" who many thought was a real crying woman in our cemetery. Info on these additions and others can be found at http://ravenmanor.com/projects/

Here is the youtube link to our overall 2011 video: http://youtu.be/Yhzymip7sGc

(A lot of the video is brightly lit from the camera settings, but things are much more mysterious/dark in person :) )

Below are just a few photos, with more on our site: http://ravenmanor.com/photos/

And we are brand new on facebook: http://facebook.com/RavenManorUT

I appreciate the help of everyone on the forum. I've seen some great work here that greatly inspires me. Thank you for such a great community!

-Dave.

Did you build your house on a graveyard site Raven? It looks so realistic and creepy! Marvelous work!

Wow, what an awesome display!!! I LOVE the things you've done! The floating candle, grave digger and ghosts are very very cool! But I'm totally loving that weeping woman you've got there. What kind of motor did you use for that? Do you happen to have tutorial posted for it somewhere? I'd love to steal that idea and make one of my own next year. :)

Excellent job! I love your haunt and I'm jealous of all those perfect gravestones too! :)

Dave, I remember visiting your site years ago. It's pretty much what got me interested in home haunting. Your stuff is in a class of it's own and very inspirational. I find myself going through your pics a couple times a year just to glean some ideas. Glad you had a good year and I love the new stuff. THanks for posting it here.

Thank you everyone for taking a look at the haunt. I appreciate your kind words.

Mordessa; Yes, there are "loose" tutorials on the Weeping Widow and others (more like photos of steps in progress but they should guide you on completing your own) on my website. Go to http://ravenmanor.com/projects/

Doug, good to see you are still at it over at Oaklawn. I hope you had a great season?

jdubbya, that was very nice of you to share. It gives me inspiration to keep going. I need to come up with some new ideas for next year however. I would very much like to examine your photos for some ideas I can use.

Thank you, thank you, thank you ALL!
