Hey gang! We finally came up with a decent looking rain effect for Pirate's Cove!
Take a look!

Add a monofilament grid run vertically between the light source, and the back wall, and you've pretty much created the rain effects used in Disney. Thank for the run down.

I did some initial testing with white light... matrixmom, it looked WAY too much like snow. LOL Switched to the blue... much better. Part of the trick is to get the light focused before it hits the mirrors. Clear LEDs have the added bonus of basically focusing the light to a point within inches of the end of the LED, so you get a nice point of blue light close up. I was surprised how much R&D this took to get something that looked half decent. I figured I'd save anyone else the trouble if they were going to try something like this.
