Pumpkin shortage

From what I've heard, pumpkins are ripening early in Canada and the U.S. Has anyone else heard much about this?

I hope at least mini pumpkins will be okay. Those seem to last forever.

I take it to mean that pumpkins may hit the stores and markets early but as long as there's not an early frost the pumpkin crop should be fine. They last for months after harvesting. I haven't seen anything that indicates a shortage.
It's true! My pumpkins usually finish up around mid Sept but we have harvested 6 fully ripe in the last week of August. There are 50 in the patch, too... I've been pinching off the flowers but they just keep sprouting back twice as large...lol
