I'm making a Simon costume from the movie Simon Says(starring Crispin Glover) and I'm looking for a prop pickaxe that isn't ridiculuosly overpriced but that looks like the ones in the movie...could anyone help me find one??

I know Party City has a wide selection of plastic bladed weapons.
I don't remember the prices being unreasonable.

wow those are expensive

how about making your own pick-axe.... here is a link to making a meat cleaver , but using the same technique you can create your own pick-axe very cheap and will look great.

I made a full size one out of foam for last year's Haunted Mine. I just got my real pick axe (we have really rocky soil here) and traced it and then glued it. Though I broke the head off and Hubby had to screw it into place again but it's stil in great condition. Try foam! REALLY cheap! Plus unless yo ulet someone touch it no one will notice what it's made of anyway so might as well be as cheap as possible!
