Prop Book

Started on a prop book today, I found a couple of pieces in a local charity shop, namely a skull and crossbones belt buckle and an old hard cover book. I thought it could make an interesting pirate tome. I'm not going for overt realism on this one. The scrollwork and backing for the skull is just craft foam, covered it all in thin toilet roll paper mache and began painting some parts with a pva, brown acrylic and flour mix to give it an old, decrepit look. I will add on some extras on like hinges and a lock once it dries and hardens a bit. WIP photos..
