Been meaning to get around to this for a while, and finally got my parents to dig out ye olde photo albums. I should be shocked at the lack of photos of my first haunts, but...I'm not.
Well, I've spoken before how Halloween at our place was something mom hated. She was thrilled when I started haunting the front porch and she didn't have to do anything, and I started building my own costumes at 8, because I got tired of THE BOX she would pull out each year that we had our choice of a couple stock costumes. Still, I would generally wear one of the stock costumes to school because I didn't want to tip anyone how I'd be dressing to scare them later.
So, a little Unorthodox in the making:
My parents early camera had...issues. Water in the lens or something, they don't remember...so...well, pics sucked.
I was clearly THRILLED at being Dracula. Stock costume #1.
I remember this costume well, as it become my go-to school costume as I got older. It was not in the stock box at the time, and was the first costume I built myself (with a heck of a lot of help from grandma). No idea what's up with that hat...I loved hats, guess I decided if I was a ghost I was keeping my hat.
Brother the stereotype...
Stock costume #2.
This is what happens when you're my younger brother and you want to be a robot and your 9 year old brother decides if mom's going to refuse he'll do it instead.
