Like chinclub, I've mostly used plastic dolls sourced from goodwill or yard sales, so I don't have pointers that are specific to working with porcelain. But hopefully the above links provide a good starting place.
I have a few porcelain dolls I am working on this year as well, they are going in our nursery. I made couple look decrepit, I like the painted cracks, I think I will add that technique to a couple as well.
I've been searching for an O or HO(?) Gauge train set for Halloween. They have a Hogwarts Express, Charley Brown Great Pumpkin and another I dont remember from Lionel. Has anyone ever custom painted a train, a metal one? I'm starting to think I may have to piece one together but dont wanna spend $2K
Subject basically says it and I'm looking for one. We all know those light-holders we can install on our roofs and gutter basically meant for string lights and such but I'm planning to do mine with 1/2" rope lights....so....anyone know of a fastener made specifically for those OR does anyone...
