Pneumatic controller

I am starting to build a five foot tall bat with wings that open up and flap. I am wondering how to control the air cylinders without having to do it manually. I would like to have it set up so it takes care of its self on cue. Is there software out there that will do this. Any help would be grateful.

I have seen this effect done using a neck massage motor with a cable hooked to each rotator arm and then on to each wing. The motor is mounted on the back side of the wings. As the arms rotate in opposite directions it pulls the cable and flaps the wings. I believe i saw this on the halloweenpropmasters 2008 haunt dvd.
