Arrrgh pirates! one of my all time favorite themes as there's so much you can do with it. Your set up looks great so far! hope to see a post on your indoor decor.
Pirate ship and treasure chest out of stuff laying around
I looked at my hammock stand and saw a Pirate ship - I had PVC laying around as well as old canvas paint "tarps" . I used torn bed sheets for the sails. I will be adding a fog machine, audio soundtrack for ocean waves, creaky sounds and Pirates as well as torches inside the ship for extra effect.
I have also made a treasure chest out of old pallet wood. I bought some plastic coins from Amazon and gold spray painted "treasures". I made the gold bars with 2x4's and sprayed them gold. I made the rum jugs out of 5 gallon water jugs sprayed with hammered finish paint. It is not exact perfection but it will work with the lighting I will be using.
I am behind schedule...but will get it done this weekend. I host a costume party every year so I will be decorating inside the house as well as the back yard........yee haw.....I love this stuff.
