If you give more information maybe you will get more suggestions. Is the scavenger hunt in the yard, the entire neighborhood, inside the house? Who is hunting children or adults? Please give specific examples of all of the places where you are wanting to hide the coins if you want help with constructing the clues or riddles. Very fun idea but it can be very difficult to come up with clues or riddles that are vague enough not to be immediately guessed and yet clear enough to not be impossible. Another idea if the search area is the yard and you are stumped for clues would maybe to have compasses and have people go a certain number of paces following a compass heading using maps with different starting points so that people wouldn't all be tripping over each other. Another idea would be to do geocaching in the neighborhood since most everyone has smart phones with GPS coordinates. People would need to know ahead of time to bring their fully charged cell phones and to know how to use the GPS function.Need help! Planning a pirate themed scavenger hunt this year. I want to do a map with "x" marks the spot. People will be collecting pirate coins at each place. Having trouble coming up with clues/riddles to put on the map. Any ideas or advice?
