Howdy haunters,

I ordered a PIR sensor from Amazon that is used to turn on LED strip lights whenever the PIR sensor senses motion. I'd like to use this to trigger the BooBox Flex used in a Halloween prop and a bit confused.

The issue is I'm not entirely sure how/if it will work for this application. The PIR sensor has an input and an output for 12 volts. The input voltage I can get from the BooBox controller. The problem is from looking at the manual of the BooBox controller, I don't understand how to wire the output voltage. The PIR has negative/positive terminals but not sure how they correspond to the controller terminals.

From everything I read, a traditional PIR sensor has an alarm wire, where this one just has positive and negative output terminals.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks! That's what I was thinking but couldn't get it work. Just tried it now and after 5 minutes, it triggered. I don't have a start up delay so wondering if the PIR has a long warm up time. Or it's a piece of junk. Could be one or both. ;)

Appreciate the help. I also wonder if the PIR struggles with registering movement because it's so hot in my garage. I noticed if I open the door to the house it will trigger. No doubt because of the huge temperature shift.
