Party Tonight!!!!! So much to do!

I've been focusing on my first backyard haunt this year, so I haven't put as much effort into planning the actual party. I have a LONG to do list and only a few hours to do it. Thankfully, I had the presence of mind to start the party a little later this year, so that gives me a little more time. I'm usually rushing to get the food, last minute decorations, and my own costume on while guests start arriving!

I'm extra excited this year because the weather up here in Minnesota is fabulous today! Usually it's stupid cold around Halloween, but we've been enjoying lovely weather this week. I'm expecting party-goers to make their way to the backyard for a bonfire. This should hopefully keep everyone outside or in the garage. Last year, my husband and I learned a very important lesson. Drunk friends don't care about your house. They don't clean up spills. They don't take off their muddy or oily shoes. I literally have footprints in my carpet from a friend who didn't take his shoes off to use the bathroom, and he had car oil on his shoes. So rude. I'm still not over it.

So, outside party! Yay!!!!! Ok, now to get to work! Have a wonderful day, everybody!!!!

Good luck on the party. If you have the time, run out to Home Depot and pick up some temporary carpet protection. They are self adhering film rolls and they will absolutely save your carpet. Do not put on hardwood or tile floors. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Roberts-...n-Self-Adhering-Film-Roll-70-130-12/202020269
Good luck with the party. Please post photos -- would love to see how it turned out!
Hope you have a great party and that every one comes dressed as Mr. Clean. ;)

Good call Dawnski, but that Robert's stuff at home creepo didn't stick down for us and got tangled in people's feet. Try this stuff -- worked better for us and tsayed down the whole time: http://www.plasticover.com/protection/temporary-carpet-protections.html
