Halloween party this weekend, and I need just one more scare for my guests. What better place to scare them than in the place they are most vulnerable... the bathroom! I'm taking the whole monster in a box concept (thanks BIGANT!) and modifying it for the bathroom. No, I'm not putting it in the toilet you weirdos. I'm setting up a motion detector in the bathroom. When it's triggered it'll wait 15 seconds for the victim to be in their most precarious position, then the cabinet directly in front of the toilet will start emitting a low growl then start roaring and the cabinet door will start banging open and closing. Video coming later today....
Last year I rigged a small jumping spider I picked up at Kmart on top of the toilet tank. To avoid any "accidents" I had it set so that it triggered only when the toilet was flushed. It was easy to rig. I used a normally closed Reed switch hooked up to the try me connector and glued a magnet onto the toilet float. When they flushed the magnet would move away from the Reed switch and trigger the spider.
