Heading to Planet Fitness, my wife saw the "open" sign so we stopped in. Great seeing the props up close. They were still waiting on some orders but the displays were up. There was a very cool subway-themed zombie display in the back. Effective lighting using fire and ice lights, and it even had a sound track of subway, zombies and screams.
My wife liked the Li'l swinging skeleton boy, and I liked the Twitching Banshee.
We'llbe going back with coupons in hand.

Oh, I meant to add something else. Forgot to say that I was actually impressed by the Creepy Rising Animated Doll. She was on display at our store and was neat looking in person. At one point she says "Do you want to play with me?" and my son (in my arms) was frantically shaking his head NO! Ha ha ha! I liked how she was rising up & getting taller.
Also, they had a couple of lenticulars that I haven't seen before. Sorry I have no pix - this was a complete surprise that it was open.

Just be glad that you HAVE a Spirit store this year, I don't think I'm going to have a single one anywhere around me.

Penumbra, I thought we weren't getting a Spirit store because one doesn't show on the website. But, I saw the big sign today!!!! I didn't have time to drive up to see when or if they were open. But, it is official that we will have one!!!!

Of the few props that I took time to set off when I stopped at the start of the week, I was most impressed by the Black Widow Flaming Witch. The look of him is great, but I found the swinging skeleton boy character to be a touch annoying, though that is solely my opinion.

The store locator function now offers up a coupon for 20% off, in case anyone has been wondering when Spirit would get around to doing so.

The amazing thing is, there will be FIVE Spirit stores within a 40 minute drive...and the closest is less than 10 minutes away!

Larry, I agree. I imagine the mechanism is similar to the thrashing nurse (not sure of the actual name) from a few years ago. The taller Banshee gives it a more irregular, frantic motion. The lit eyes, flapping skeletal jaw and long loose boney hands are pretty startling.

Oh, and Jenn and Matt - yea, the gnarled trees look good. I wonder how heavy they are?

My store is open as well. I got my daughter a pair of "Jack and Sally" socks.
It was fun.
One of the employees even offer me a job. (too bad it didn't fit my schedule.)
