Does anyone else's school do this?

Neat thing our school does for the High Schoolers, homecoming sort of coincides with Halloween .. So the kids get to dress up for the week, new theme each day to show school spirit and let the kids have some Halloween fun without looking lame. ;) my kid's love to dress up, so ..win ..win.

This year I have all three girls in the high school, my oldest who's a senior and my youngest who's a freshman did Mario and Luigi today. They had overall shorts, but it's 40F out this morning and they keep the school cold .. So they decided on jeans instead No hats allowed either.

My Mario try's to act tough, but it's just not in her. We have already renamed Luigi .. KickAss. ;) Sisterly .. Err .. Brotherly love.

My kids school does "Drug awareness week" right around Halloween where they get to dress in a different them each week. What I hate is that sometimes they are really cheesy things like "dress for the decade" which means 60s,70s, etc. That's great for those that want to dress silly but my kids are more into scary.

Yes, ours are all sillier too, my kids are pretty silly .. So it works LOL . Video/anmine day, cartoon or Disney day, Pinkout to support breast cancer awareness, red carpet day .. Last day will be right before football game, so school pride, wear school colors or team/sports uniforms, paint face/hair etc .. which everyone will wear to the game.
My youngest, the one in the green is going to wear her blow up morph suit for cartoon day and be the dirty bubble .. She's desperately trying to get her sisters to dress up as merman and barnacle boy. She has no chance of it happening, my middle daughter would die first ...but that would make her life complete. LOL

Youngest in morph suit .. She love to wear it around and dance in it. The kid is her own entity! ;)

Homecoming always was different weeks, but we always had Spirit Week like this..school colors one day, hat day another. Cannot remember everything I won best costume in my class for 60's day when I was a senior. Everyone else did the Hippie and soldier theme. Mom and I made a mini dress sheath out of material that was kinda pop art pattern that I wore over a black turtleneck ( well not super mini Catholic HS still had a dress code) I wore black tights and white go go type boots. I teased my hair to make the early to mid 60.'s look..and added a half can aqua net...

Our school lets the kids dress up (no extreme gore and no masks) on Halloween and they do halloween activities that day, all day. School council also does their fundraiser that day which is a halloween dance with prices and such!
