So is the throw - impt if you are using outside.
A little new at the acronyms, What do you mean by this?

Either way I thought it would be a perfect entry level one for displaying a ghost outside. I truly believe on listening to others reviews on these types of products, especially when alot of us are doing this specifically for Halloween.

Heres a great thread on info on projectors: http://www.halloweenforum.com/halloween-props/100674-video-projector-suggestions.html
also more info: http://www.projectorcentral.com/
moreinfo: www.projectorreviews.com

Hope this helps...if you search projectors on the forum, you will get good answers to threads prev posted on this subject.

I appreciate the links, I did initially read the one on this website. It was helpful which is why I was choosing this projector for my outside project. I think its the middle of the road. Would you have a reason of not going with this or a better suggestion?

Actually the one you have chosen looks good. I just thought I am giving you more info so you can see if you want something better or less expensive if you are going something small like singing pumpkins or busts, or going full out like this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oeft8EPR9_g

and his display at night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V-8rozLq2s

Here's a little excerpt fromTerras blog:

Throw depends on two things. What the size of the window is and the distance of the projector's throw to the window. You can find the specs of a projector's throw, measure the size of your window and then use the calculator that is usually included at the manufacturer of the projector's site. Here is Epson's: http://www.epson.com/alf_upload/land...ce-calculator/

Ok so I purchased the projector, ran my dvd on it, its still not quite clear. It is a manual focus so I either need to bring it back or up and adjust the aspect ratio. This is going to be a challenge we are building a miniature type mosoleum and project the image into the opening. A friend of mine builds these at his nursery and he opted to build the enclosure using the similar style of a house he just made with aged wood. I enclosed a picture. So you get the idea. We will put the project in my yard along with rows of tombstones and lit jackolanterns on stakes.

I also recorded my test on the new projector, I think the hard part is going to be making the images 3ftx3ft, in order to project it inside the structure.

Here is the test video, if anyone has tips on how to make this clear with a manual focus, Im all ears. Im using component RCAS with a basic sony dvd player from walmart.
