I decided to add another witch to the display so here are some early sculpt pics of "Ophelia". Still have tons of work to do on her, but you can view progress pics here Ophelia the Witch pictures by Lauriebeast - Photobucket

I know the feeling bethene...I've recently started a witch too,
Now I'm embarrassed to post the pics...
:)
Being in the presence of such talent is both a blessing and a curse..
It inspires and encourages, but it's costing me a fortune in counselling to get over my inferiority complex..
Thanks again you guys, much appreciated.
My god Laurie....you never fail to impress me. AMAZING. Can't wait to see where you put her in the display.
I love the whole thing LB the hands are amazing. All the detail is so very realistic.
Laurie, you know the realism is off the charts when this 'ole nurse looks at those hands and thinks to herself: "I could stick a big old 16 gauge in THAT vein." She is positively breathtaking. Kudos as usual my dear, you never cease to amaze us.
Yes, terrific work. Can't wait to see her all finished up. Once again great work.
Aw, thanks again you guys. I hope to have her finished hair pics up very soon.
LB is insane..I mean who sculpts palm creases in hands? I mean really. She makes us all look bad. I say we lynch her...lol!

Terrific work, LB, as always I am in awe of your sculpt. To quote a famous DJ, " I...am not worthy."
Holy cow lauriebeast is my new hero! That is absolutely fabulous. That is disney quality there. You area very very talented artist. I wish i could sculpt like that. Great work laurie.... i bow to you.
Now thats what i call a WITCH!
That would scare the crap out of ME!!!
GREAT WORK!
After all the amazing details I think I am the most freaked out by that mouth mole. What placement! Fantastic job. You'll have the kids wondering if she's real all night long!
Laurie, I just thought I'd let you know...the whole evening shift in the ED was AMAZED at those hands. Our IV practice arms don't have veins that good!!
Thanks guys:)

MHooch, that's funny....You would most likely break a needle on this old gals' veins.
Laurie, you remind me of Dr. Frankenstein. your creations are equally real to his although they won't hate you and try to kill your wife and what not.

Well, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I decided to use the gray wig. I cut small lengths of it and glued it to her head. It's much more sparse than the previous test pics and I also sprayed it with some gray hair spray paint to take that annoying shine off the acrylic fibers. She is definately NOT a shiny hair kinda gal ;) I painted her eyebrows and added some lashes and nose and wart hairs. I know you can't really see them in these pics, but I'll take better pics of those details when I get her finished.

An amazing job, you should go to work for Rick Baker, Laurie. How will she be displayed? I'd love to see that as an animatronic.
wow, Laurie, again, trying to learn at the feet of the master!
