All of the new animal props out this year are awesome, but they all suffer the same flaw, at least in my eyes, of being anatomically incorrect in a very obvious way. The cats have ears, the dogs have noses AND ears, and the crows have bone wing and tail feathers. The cat is closest to being accurate as it only has the ears so I bought one and opened the head up to see if the ears were hollow. Much to my joy they are not hollow. There is a small area in the front corner that is, but the rest is solid plastic and easily removed. With a few quick cuts and a little filing my kitty is now earless. The two small holes left were easily patched by filling from the inside with hot glue, then melting the ears I cut off and smearing the melted plastic on the exterior. A little more sanding to blend the patch and the operation was a success in less than 15 minutes. Still deciding whether I'm going to de-bone the crow's wings or not.
