Hi everyone wanted to share how i did my skulls and spider snowflakes , my theme for Christmas this year was nbc

First i drew them on to pink foam sheets

Then i used a hot knife to cut them all out
sanded them down

ok i have to get a pick for you guys but i gave all of these hangers what i did was cut paper clips so i just had the round part
i then pushed these into the foam and then painted over them with the drylock and paint
they are working fantastic this way i had a way to attach them to things


and then i painted them with dray lock

Next i painted them with white latex paint

I then painted the eyes with black latex paint

and here is the finished look

made small ones for my candy canes

i did this same thing for jacks bow tie

Thank you candy canes and bows came from dollare tree and i spray painted them

We were lucky enough to get to sit in on one of the Davis's classes at the West Coast Haunter's convention, back when it was still in Salem now that was awhile a go LOL. It was interesting to learn how to texture foam.

To be honest I miss the summer NW Fright Fest campouts that Sue and Vern used to put on where we could spend the weekend learning from each other. Don't know if you ever got the chance to go to any of those, we thought they were a fun time. Always thought the Convention became a little too big and hectic for our liking once it moved to Portland. I like small groups and lots of hands one.

What a wonderful display. I bought those little dollar tree bat fence stakes years ago and promptly spray painted every one of them to look like rusted spikes. I looked at those bright blue wings and red eyes and thought there was no way I could put them out into my yard looking the way they came. I have to admit, they look perfect in your yard.

I love how we all come to Halloween and decorating from different perspectives. So many ideas, so little time.... and so little budget. hahaha

hahaha.... I had no idea that you lived nearby. We would have definitely made the pilgrimage both for Halloween and Christmas. There is an app called NextDoor that you might want to consider using. We live at the end of a dead end one lane road, but we posted on NextDoor about our little haunt and we got 25 TOTs and almost as many parents. For us that was a MAJOR turnout. We're usually happy with anything more than three.

At any rate, they have this little map that allows you to post that you have a haunted house and where it can be found. We also posted pictures of some of the front yard in a regular "event" post. I remember that you were down about not having visitors last Halloween, so this might be a way to get them out. We sure love your stuff, We just had no idea it was so close to home.

Lol i have the next door i never thought of posting on there about it.
I am on 37th down by dead end. My hearse is out frontvyear around. I decirate it up for diffrent holidays we for sure will have to check out each othete decorations this year
