Hey guys! I am so so sorry I have not been around. I've been running into a few of life's hiccups.

The floor is now open for trying out a new halloween related recipe. We can try it out during the month of Febuary and report back either here or in the HF Cooking Group.

So, what will it be??? :D

If it does not take 3 attempts (like it took me the first time) it is quick. Probably 15 minutes to mix and pipe the bones. Then you just let them sit in the oven all night. I would like to pracitce with them again though just to make sure I got them down.

The few things I found were: 1) The first recipe I was using had bad proportions, 2) apparently you are supposed to use room temp eggs/not super cold

I'm thinking of trying out this recipe this weekend or the next. Hopefully I won't ruin them, lol!

I tried the meringue bones! But I did something horribly wrong...

Hopefully I will get to a second attempt tomorrow!

Ok! So I think I did a pretty good job with them. I had to put the meringue into a freezer bag and cut the tip so my bones are rather sloppy looking, lol!
The things we have to do to improvise! :D
