new house - new setup

We bought a new house in January and getting ready to setup for this year next weekend. i am sure a lot of people have been here, but nervous for the new neighborhood to see what we do. Not only hoping it goes over well, but the yard is so much different really don't know where to start or how to plan it out.
Its actually a better neighborhood than we used to live in, but with a lot more teens, counted 18 kids at the bus stop at the end of the block and with no one ever seeing it worried we will have theft or vandalism problems, even though we have never had a problem at all in the past.
We have mentioned it to a couple neighbors, but dont think they have any idea yet, which is exciting!
Our last 'hood really stepped it up, even with just pumpkins and small displays after our first couple years and hoping the same for here.
I am thinking about fake cameras or smile your on camera signs, but anyone have good or bad stories or ideas you have done in the past for a new area?
