Hello!

This is Kristi V.! I am the artist of Vandenboom's Artistic Creations.

I have been enjoying this forum immensely and love all of the cool advice. Everyone here is so awesomely creative. This forum is also a great place to find friends of like mind. Thank you to all who share this view.

I would like to start adding my products for sale on here. I am fairly new and new items will show up periodically. Please feel free to share your thoughts on my work. And yes constructive criticism is welcome. All items are available at https:www.etsy.com/shop/artbyvac.

Here is one of my pumpkins named "Rotting Decay". He is paper mache and hand sculpted. $85

Here is another paper mache project called "The House on the Hill". $70

PROCESS:

Build a structure from recycled objects.
Cover with 5 - 7 layers of paper strips and paste. A drying time of 24 hours for each couple of layers. This prevents mold and moisture.
Apply clay in as many layers as necessary to sculpt the item. Setting time of 3 to 5 days per layer. Sculpting details with tools, and adding accessories if needed to imbed into the clay.
Seal with marine spar varnish. Let dry and set for a week.
Paint. Once dry seal with another layer of varnish. Allow to set for another week.
Apply any accessories that require wire or staples, etc.

Hi Kirsti V,

Wanted to let you know that as you run an Etsy shop, you are considered a merchant and any posts regarding selling items will need to go in the merchant section. You're also allowed 1 sell/merchant post every 30 days. Any extra postings may be moved or deleted per the moderator/admin discretion.

I've shifted this post over to the merchant sales section. Please do review the forum rules for this section located at the top of the forum section.

Good luck with your new venture!
