Hi everyone! My theme this year is "Classic Monster Mash" with a focus on monster movies from pre-1970. Decorations and costumes will pay homage to such classics as "the Creature from the Black Lagoon" to "The Wolf Man" to "The Blob". My plan was to decorate my living room as an ode to Dracula, my kitchen to represent "The Mummy", and my dining room to pay tribute to Frankenstein's monster/Bride of Frankenstein. My Dracula & Mummy rooms are pretty much set, but Frankenstein's monster is presenting quite the challenge! Any one have any ideas on decorations I could buy or make that aren't too "cutesy"? Or should I scrap that one in favor of something else (which I'd also need suggestions for!)? Any suggestions are appreciated!!

You could decorate with Lab equipment. Lots of jars with brains, heart, hand specimens. Even jars with glow in the dark liquids. You can break open a highlighter and use the inside to make water glow. Tubes of all kinds. I used an old karaoke machine to make an embalming thing...

Any head in the jar or specimen in a jar....... there are head print outs online to line a jar.............

You can find some pretty reasonably priced posters online.
A few years ago DollarTree had posters from the old films for a buck each - we still use them for decorations...
