My theme this year is A Stephen King Halloween. I've asked my guests to come in a costume that represents a character from one of Stephen Kings movies/books. The only good womans costume I can think of is Carrie, which I already know one of my friends is doing. I've been binge watching his movies and can't seem to come up with anything that people would recognize when they see me. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Could go with a friend as the twins from the shining, or his wife from the shining, Beverly Marsh from IT, Could check out a zombie wife from Pet Semetary, I think a good one would be one of the female children from Children of the Corn. And dont forget Misery
I am plus size and had actually thought about going as Annie Wilkes but not sure everyone would get it. Of course, I could always tell them who I am!!!! Thanks for all the ideas!!!!!

Holy Gibney, the quirky investigator from "The Outsider"
The Outsider from "The Outsider"
Mr. Grey, the monster from "Dreamcatcher" (and also the true identity of Pennywise in the novel IT)
A langolier or a swarm of langoliers from "The Langoliers," The short story describes them as a swarm the tv movie depicts them as large monsters.
The plant man, water logged zombies or the crate beast from "Creepshow"

Just some thoughts from outside the main lane of where I see people going with your theme.

Great ideas!!!! I've read the book "The Outsiders" but haven't watched the movie to know how Holly dressed. I'll have to watch it. I had thought about the Langoliers but didn't know how I would make a costume like how they were depicted on the movie. May have to revisit that thought as well...... THANK YOU!

The annie wilkes costume would be good, you could carry a plastic sledgehammer the dollar store carry at halloweentime.
And you could walk around with a copy of the book misery or an empty vhs case from value village people will get it.

I dont know if someone said it already but you could go as one of the shingin twins that would be a suoer cheap costume, you wouldnt have to make barley anything.

You could go to goodwill/value village looking for a blue dress, or you could buy a white or light colored dress and dye it with blue rit fabric dye, you could do the ribbon with white ribbon on the waist from the buck store. And the frills/ruffles
on the collar/sleeve cuffs you could do that with a doiley from goodwill/dollar store and sew or hotglue it on.

If I could get my bf to do it with me, that would be hilarious. Especially because I'm short and let's say chunky and he's tall and skinny as a rail. :)

We have kids at our party too, I'd be afraid one of them would either hurt themselves - or my house!!! Of course, I could just have it for the beginning of the party and then put it away.......... Thanks for the idea!
There was a woman at Texas Frightmare a couple years ago who did an Annie Wilkes cosplay. She carried around a book she had printed a cover for of one of the Misery novels. Whenever anyone got who her character was supposed to be, she'd say "I'm your number one fan!". It was subtle, but SO good.
