A few years ago I hung a pirate fabric all over my ceiling and black sheets to cover my walls. I used 3M removable hooks to hang everything. When my husband and I removed the 3M "removable hooks" part of our drywall came off with it. We tried everything to not get the ceiling/wall to come off with the hooks. I'm getting ready to hang decor again and need suggestions on how to hang decorations WITHOUT causing damage to my walls (I had to pay a drywall guy $$$ to come repair my ceiling/walls - YIKES!) Obviously I need something strong enough to hold weight. What does everyone use??? Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Try using small straight pins. They leave a very small hole that you can touch with paint if you have to.

Maybe this is overkill for your needs, but I'm building a 1/2" pvc "wall" to hang my Scene-Setter plastic sheets. 5' W x 8' H free-standing section frames. But, it's going outside on the porch where there's really no easy way to tack/hang it to anything.

We used it to hold a couple of 50-foot rolls of scene setters to walls for a party. I really didn't think it was going to work but it did. You just have to need it a bit to get it to where it sticks well. Came right off the walls without leaving a mark.
