Hi All,
I am building a flying saucer and I want to use a 10 sided central hub to attach my stringers to.
My question is what degree would I set my miter saw to in order to get the correct angle cut.
Basically I need the angle to cut give me a 10 sided figure.

Thanks!

That's what I thought, 360 divided by 10. But when I set my mitre angle at 36, its not right.

The inside angle is 36, but the outside is 144, maybe its 144 divided by 2, 72?
But my mitre saw only goes from 0 to 45.

It's 18 degrees. Since you are cutting each end of the wood, you are effectively doubling the angle, so 2 x 18 gives you the 36 degrees. Times ten pieces of wood and you have 360 degrees.
