hey everyone! been a long long time since i been on here but I need help figuring out how to recreate this prop. I basically wanna create the exact same prop but i'm stuck on which motor to use. I would go with a windshield wiper but it moves to fast. I need something very very slow. If someone can point me in the right direction for a motor i would be forever grateful lol.

All you need is a PWM control for the wiper motor. You can set the speed anywhere you like, down to a crawl.

Using a linear actuator could really simplify the design over a wiper motor and in the end, could cost about the same. Do a search of the surplus sites or even a visit to a junk yard can get you a car window actuator that could easily be modified to fit your prop. I've used them and they work great! When a neighbor by my house was junking a car, I stripped the window motors for free. They look something like this 12-Volt-DC-Window-Actuator

This works similar to the prop I'm working on now. Look into the picovolt controller. It's a programble speed and direction controller that also has a park feather.
