[Oak Lane Cemetery]

Started out just wanting to see how detailed I could make a corpsed skeleton, then it evolved into a corpse on a stake, then into a corpse staked on a tree branch with some severed rotting heads alongside. The corpsing was done with latex, shop towel and great stuff. There are a few other odds and ends in there like a piece of wire loom for the trachea, some string and wire for tendons, some foam backer rod in the guts and a little freaky fabric around the shoulder areas for stringy texture. All the little veins are rolled latex.

Looks really incredible! Only detractor I would say would be the pole, it looks too "fresh cut".

You don't happen to have steps? What did you use for teeth? guts (spray foam?)

This was actually only about 4 days work lol. Could have done it faster if I'd have had all the materials on hand and didn't keep getting pulled away by other obligations. We are probably not doing the full setup this year. Maybe just this and a few other things set up right near the house for trick or treat. My wife's mother has terminal cancer and moved in with us a couple of months ago and we don't know from one day to the next what her needs will be, let alone down the road a few months. Doing the full haunt this year is just going to be too much on everyone so we are going to downsize it to just the small area between the house and sidewalk so we can still have something out for the kids to see and come trick or treat. I'm still building as if we will be doing the full haunt though, because I enjoy doing it, and I'll have twice as much new stuff for the 2020 haunt.

Just the raggedy loose burlap type material thats marketed during the Halloween season. Works great for stringy, gooey texture if it's saturated with latex. I also used it to make the guts for our pumpkin king...

Sorry to hear about your mum-in-law OLC. I've recently lost my gran (the funeral was on Monday of this week) - so I can understand the uncertainty of the current times that you are in.


I do like this prop (I commented on the OTHER SITE as well). The rolling eyeball just tickles my funny bone.

Did you use cheap plastic Halloween skull or rigid foam skull? What did you use for the ribs?

I used an entire plastic skeleton from Walgreen's as the base. I modified it with a heat gun and soldering gun into the pose I wanted and replaced the teeth with acrylic ones before corpsing it.

Just watched the video (again - before breakfast!!). I really do like the small detailing on this prop. I have some old bashed up cheapo skellies at home - wonder if hubby would mind something like this as an all year feature in the garden?
