Hello fellow haunters and friends of HalloweenForum.com. This announcement is about a Halloween project I’ve been working for the past 6 months, but it’s not a prop or decoration, it’s a website.
A bit of a back story. As I have posted on a few threads here, I am a paranormal investigator. Something I thought of a few years back is the paranormal community didn’t really have a viable place to sell their equipment and paranormal related items unless they use a certain auction site that charged an arm and a leg just to post. So I developed a site that those in the paranormal community could use. Unfortunately this site never really took off.
Well, ever since I started building my own Halloween props and joined this wonderful community back in October of last year, I have noticed people complaining about the fees they have to pay on that other auction site. So the wheels in my brain started turning (and smoking) and I decided to revisit my auction site idea, but this time do things differently. First, I’ve redesigned it a bit and added categories for the home haunter and Halloween enthusiast. The next and probably most important, it’s completely FREE!!! I’m not going to charge a single fee to buy or sell, a completely free site for the home haunter, the paranormal community, and Halloween enthusiast. So Para-Auctions.com has risen from the dead.
Para-Auctions.com a site that has many of the same features that other auction sites have like buy it now options, Dutch (Fixed Price/Multiple Item) auctions, stores, to name just a few. The only difference is it doesn’t cost you a cent.
Is there a catch? No, but I do need some help to make it better. I tried to think of categories that everyone could use, but I’m sure I may have missed a few. So there is a section to suggest new categories. I also want to make this a popular spot to buy and sell everything related to Halloween and paranormal research, so I need your help in promoting it too. Tweet about it, list your items and tweet about that, facebook about it, post the link to your items in the classified section here, whatever you can do to get the word out would be very helpful. I am also listed on twitter at @ParaAuctions. Feel free to tweet up a storm! LOL!
Also, I have noticed that some haunters have websites of their own. Well, I have something for you. When you visit para-auctions.com, you’ll notice a banner at the very top. This is a rotating banner that changes with each page refresh or visit to other pages within the site. I will be happy to do a banner exchange with you as long as you post my banner on your site (preferably on the main page as the search bots tend to pick up those links easier) and say you’re one of my supporters. My auction site even has a “store” option as well, so if you create a store, post the link on your site too.
Are you a merchant? I’ve thought of you too. On the front page is an advertisement section. If you would like to be one of my sponsors, please feel free to contact me either here or from the site.
