I made a clay model, then plaster mold, yesterday this RD 407 latex casting, and today I painted it. All of these steps were firsts for me. Gotta say... am pretty happy. At first my paint job looked more akin to woodland camo, but I remembered a blotting technique I learned at Hauntcon and did so with more red and burnt umber colors (Acrylic Basic from Liquitex) and I think I salvaged it.

The goal is to have ripped off faces hanging from hooks in my PG13 garden walkthrough. I will make more partial castings in hopes of creating the illusion that they don't all come from the same mold and will have to paint them too...although not necessarily too similarly of anyone has some advice for me.
