My first full body prop, a witch

This witch was the first full body prop that I have built. I used a Spider Hill full body kit, cheap mask and gloves from ebay and two of my wife's graduation gowns. I also made the hands pose-able from materials I had around the house.

She looks fantastic! Don't you love the spider joints? I'm really curious about the hands. Looks like a wooden base an some kind of flexible wire? Can you give a little info on them. They look nice and very posable. The outdoor scene looks great too. Nice lighting!
Awesome! Like the pose, think I need to look into those spider hill joints I keep running across
She looks great! Never would have guessed they were graduation gowns.

The spider-hill joints are pretty awesome! :)
jdubbya you guessed it, the hands are wood and wire. I cut out a quick hand shape to fit in the gloves on the band saw and then a quick sanding to round the edges. After that I bulked them up with some duct tape. The fingers are made from some old wire cable I had laying around. I cut them to length, drilled five holes in the wooded hands and slide the wire fingers in place. Last thing I did was wrap the ends of the fingers with some hockey tape to add bulk and cover the end of the wire. I left a long enough straight piece on the base of the hands to slide into the ends of the PVC arms. That way I can rotate them.

Excellent! simple and ingenious! Those look great. I see you have the new joints. I have yet to order some of these. Still using the old style but they work well.
Where did you purchase those PVC joints? I've never seen those before. I did a search for spider hill joints, but came up with nothing.
