SB,

You only have 125 days left to work on projects! Get started!

BTW: My groundbreaker coffin is made from a pallet that had wider boards on each end of its top. I took all the smaller boards that were the same width and made the front. Then used the wider boards on the sides and top with any of the left over smaller ones. I just through it all together trying to use just one pallet. I can get you the measurements when I get back in my shop.

Hey all,

I was able to get some more work completed on my crypt. Please let me know what you think.

Halloween Forum - alucard's Album: Piney Hills Crypt

I will be using the pink foam board that many others use for columns for the sides. I hope to do something unique on the front of the crypt's facade. Maybe carve it out like a tombstone and light it up. There will be a FCG inside with a black light. Please let me know what you guys think so far.

OK, I began work on the foam board walls today. The foam board cut easily, but what a pain putting it all on the frame. :( This is my first time working with foam board. I was able to finish enough of the front facade to add the PVC candle shelves. Check out the new pics in my album and let me know what you think.

Looking great! The original post's links seem to be broken. Photoalbum link is intact though.
Sorry about the pics from the first post. I changed up my album that had those pics in it and I can't figure out how to go back and fix them on the first post. There doesn't seem to be an Edit option, but the link to my crypt album is in tact.

Alucard, looking good!!

You're wise to use the denser foam -- I think it will hold up a lot better than the pill foam I used. Your construction looks really good so far. I like the columns and think they will really enhance the mausoleum entrance. I also really like the front step you've put in.

Very curious to see what you do with the 3-box-top! :)

Great work so far!!

I am planning to put the crypt in my cemetery amongst the tombstones in the front yard. I want everyone passing by to see it. It may up end towards the back of the cemetery next to the side of my house. Plus, I am planning to build a FCG for the inside.

I hope the more durable pink foam will last a long time. It should after it gets and paint job and some texturing added.

Still debating over the front facade. I wanted to light it up with the name of my haunt on the front, but I wasn't sure if that would detract from the FCG rig that will be inside. Any suggestions?
