This project was something I've had planned for a while now.

Poplar 1x2 at $.82 per foot. 6' sections

1/2 PVC pipe

I was able to cut it into 3 sections 40" long each

Meassure 8" between each hole

Put together, paint

we're at 5 out of 8 sections so far

The fence is looking great! I just used the regular 1X2 furring strips on mine. The poplar is probably much nicer to work with.

got lucky and the post were $.50 each (I think) they were in the misscut cart.
I'll secure them with an L bracket.

darth stygian,

Great fence. I'd like to make some railings like that,

I'm not very good at DIY - looks like I'm going to have to learn very quickly!!

jonnyci,

Those are fantastic columns, how did you make them?

We just closed on the sale of the house today, so we are no longer there. Have a new home, that is much wider so it is going to dwarf the columns. I guess I will just have to UpSize!
