I hope this isn't a repost but I didn't see it in a search.

Growing up with the Munsters it's a shock to see different actors in some of the roles.

It's really a shame that it only lasted a couple seasons, it was and still is one of my favorite television shows. I think they cancelled it way too soon.
Call me a purist, but Fred Gwynne and Yvonne DeCarlo will be the only Herman and Lilly for me!
A friend loaned me this DVD.
The regular cast was so much better
Too bad they repainted the Munster House for Desperate Housewives

Isn't that the truth! They also removed the center gable. Makes the house look almost barn-like.
At least they were smart enough to keep Al Lewis and Fred Gwynne. I can't imagine anyone else playing those characters. *new movie info below!

I've never scene the Munsters in color before! I remember an episode where they discuss Herman's skin as being GREEN... was the show later digitally colored? If so, they colored it wrong!

It's also been rumored that the Wayans Bro's were planing to make a Munster's movie expected to be released around 2012! Last I heard, It's final script was submitted but nothing of the movie has surfaced in a while? Anyone know more?

A little FYI, there was a movie with the original cast minus Marilyn, shot in color, callled "Munster go Home". It was made either during or right after the show's run back in the 60's. Herman was indeed green!
