Anybody else collect Horror movie memorabilia? or anything genre related.
Autographs, posters, books, original movie props...anything at all?

If so..what is the pride of your collection and is there anything you are looking or saving for at present?

My prized items are a Boris Karloff autograph and a poster for the original Hammer "Dracula" (1958)..released Stateside as "Horror of Dracula".

Apart from those, I have a fair collection of books and magazines going back to the late 1960's-1970's, and lots of films on VHS & DVD.

Baron-That's great. Do you have pictures of your awesome stuff? I would love to collect but I don't trust the stuff on ebay and I don't know where else to get it.

Awesome collection Mr Frost, particularly the original movie posters.
My son (He's named Jason...and yes, he was named after him :D), has quite a few of the original McFarlane "movie maniac" figures and the 18" Michael Myers NECA. I've been checking out the new 18" NECA Jason figure for the new release..looking at getting that for his birthday this year. looks a pretty cool figure.

I don't have any photo's at the mo, I'll try to get round to taking a few.

To be honest, I have seen some stuff on e-bay that I liked the sound/look of, but have been a bit nervous about buying. Although my experience of e-bay has been mostly positive, and found most people genuine I've never spent a vast amount of ££'s in one transaction. There is a lot of counterfeit stuff out there and the scammers are very good at what they do, so I understand your caution.
My Karloff autograph was bought for me as a 40th birthday present by my family, after my daughter saw it in a shop that specialised in autographs and framed pictures...they clubbed together to aquire it for me.

My Hammer "Dracula" poster I bought from a dealer in London way back in the '70's..i think I paid about £15 for it..quite a bit in those days, but less than $30 today:D

I have an original 8x10 press photo released by Warner Bros. for The Exorcist. I had to have something from this movie, so I bought it and framed it, and have it on my wall.

I have a pic of me & Christopher Lee from when he appeared at a con. I also have the autobiography that he signed for me. I tried valiantly to read the thing too but it's drier than burnt toast. Which is such a shame because he really is a fascinating man that's lead a fascinating life.

I have several signed Bruce Campbell pics, a signed Reggie Bannister pic, all from various Horrorfind cons that were local enough for me to hit. From different Horrorfinds I also have pics with Michael Berryman (very nice, tall & charming), Kane Hodder (BIIIIG dude with lots of scars), Jeffrey Coombs (very short yet very handsome man who had his fly down during the pic), Jonathan Breck (is it getting hot in here or is it just me?!?hoooooboy is he hot!!) & Doug Bradley (very British).

I worked at a vid store so I have a ton of posters from back in the day, everything from Full Moon stuff to a Species 2 (or is it 3? Can't remember) lenticular poster to...well...all sorts of movie posters. I also have some promo stuff like a Chuckie for your car windows with the suction cups on the feet & hands, a Freddy Krueger talking doll, a NBC Jack Skellington 1 generation doll & some other NBC stuff from it's original run not the stuff they're putting out now, some buttons from a bunch of horror movies. I also went on a binge with Full Moon dolls & have the first run of a bunch of those, Puppetmaster stuff, Castlefreak stuff, I think I may have a full set of Full Moon trading cards too & so much stuff I've forgotten most of it!!

ACK!!! Just going through it all in my head makes me realize that I have TOO MUCH STUFF IN GENERAL!!

Time to pare it all down & sell, donate or trade. I'll let you know if & when I do just that, promise.

Worst part? Most of it is in various places & not displayed.:(

But I have no actual memorabilia, like the Lost props they were selling or a piece of a set. Wait...I do have a bloody sweater from my friend Genevieve who was in some horror movie I can't recall.

Hello Deathclutch.. I am not sure if it is the collectors edition mask. I got in many years ago.. Like you, I was not at all a fan of H8. However, I am a huge fan of the series in general. Particularly1 & 2..

Also, that mask you have, it is absolutely astounding.. Is that one/two of the NAG masks. They are certainly treasures.. If I had them, they would not even be allowed to be breathed on...:D

May I ask where you got them?.. You don't have to answer if you don't want.. or you could pm me...

I appreciate the interest, dude! I'm more than happy to elaborate on my collection. The top mask is a pre-enlargement Don Post Studios 1998 Shatner, more accurate than the more common 1999 Shatner in that the pre-enlargement '98 Shatners retained the exact size and shape as the Don Post Studios 1975 Captain Kirk masks. It originates from the laser scanning of a production pull Don Post Studios 1975 Captain Kirk. The '98 Shatner was enlarged for the production run, which, ultimately, ruined the look of the mask. My Shatner is unique because it is the pre-enlargement version, meaning, once again, that it retained the same size and shape as the 1975 Captain Kirks. It is my understanding that the pre-enlarged version of the 1998 Shatner was produced in very limited numbers. This has held true in that I have only seen two others in existence. The conversion was done by michael-myers.net member, "AllHallowsGhost". Perhaps you are familiar with his mask work as it seems you know of Nikolas Art Gallery (N.A.G.). The second picture is the Nikolas Art Gallery 75K, actually related to the '98 Shatner in that it seems to originate from the direct recasting of a 1998 Shatner. The conversion was done, once again, by michael-myers.net member, "AllHallowsGhost".
I obtained the Shatner from Mike (AHG), directly, as it was a mask that he did for his own personal collection. The 75K was obtained from a private collector in Wisconsin. Highly doubtful that you will be able to track down an original pre-enlargement DPS 1998 Shatner, but the 75K is still in production as it is fairly new to the hobby. Don't quote me on this, but I think a new 75K is $375.00 plus shipping to the United States from Greece. Nik's prices fluctuate, so again, don't quote me on that price. More shots of my 75K here >>> http://www.halloweenforum.com/horror-discussion/102279-nikolas-art-gallery-allhallowsghost-75k-scary-myers-conversion.html
Thanks again for the interest in my collection! Later man.

Hello DC... Thanks for the info.. I actually visit MichaelMyers.net occasionally..but rarely post anything. I have been a die hard Halloween fan for more than 20 years... To me, the first 2 Halloween movies represents Halloween like no other movie ever could. When you watch it, no matter what time of year it is.. It makes you feel like it is October... They are incredible movies..

I have met quite a few horror icons over the years... However, the last 2 on my list that I have not met are John Carpenter and Nick Castle. Which I hope to meet someday. I know that John Carpenter is getting up there in age...

p.s... I went to NAG's web site a few times about 3-4 months or so ago and things seemed like they weren't working properly.. When you clicked on one mask, another would come up.. It was like the site was in limbo or something.. I wanted to find out some prices and info back then, but gave up becasue I could not get the info from the site...
