Beautiful signage - I love the shaping. The illustration is so old world - lovely!

I usually get polyurethane in a small 1/2 pint can (Minwax) and just brush it over. I'm 99% sure that you can get a matte (flat) finish in either a brush-on or spray.

Polycrylic Protective Finish - Water-Based Clear Protective Finishes

Found it ^

and it does come in the spray. It's a better value to get it in the can, tho. (can you tell I'm cheap?)

They have it in oil-based as well (I got that by mistake and almost ruined a sink rinsing the brush... )

It looks like you'd be looking for the satin finish, but if it does come out too shiny, you could always hit it with a fine grade sandpaper or steel wool to dull the shine.

Thanks for the compliment. There's so much more I want to add to the website -- I just don't have the time to restructure and build the sub-pages I want to add. Especially when I've got 86 days until Halloween!!

I am a graphic designer by trade and work with Photoshop, Freehand, Flash, etc. Most of the time I'm designing corporate educational materials.
Well that explains everything. Your stuff always looks so beautiful. This sign is just amazingly gorgeous!:)

(I'm a graphic designer too... mostly magazines/advertising - I think there are several other posters on here that are in the field too, and I have graphic designer friends that are also into Halloween. Funny how the creative outlet and an obsession with Halloween joined up for us artsy types. :D)
